This past weekend I had one of my girlfriends visiting me from out of town. We share a love for art, photography and a good adventure, so we headed a few blocks south of my home in SF to check out The Mission. Knowing the weather was going to be perfect and sunny for our visit, I decided to wear this 70’s inspired blue faux suede mini dress by Sugar Lips Clothing (similar here and a darker/less expensive option here), which fit perfectly with the mission street vibes.
My outfit choice was a bit bold for my usual style, but with my curls being so luscious that day and the sun shining bright, how could I resist this look?! 🙂
Known for its colorful Latino roots and bohemian vibes, “The Mission” is the perfect way to quench your artistic thirst. This district is known for its insanely tasty eateries, awesome boutique shopping and vibrant street art that’ll have you wandering around for hours admiring the beauty! I absolutely fell in love with this psychedelic multicolored wall on Clarion Alley that just so happened to go with my dress – WIN! 😉
Clairon Ally, probably the most iconic demonstration of wall art in the Mission, is a must see if you’re coming for a visit to the SF area. Its walls contain vibrant and symbolic murals painted by the Clarion Alley Mural Project featuring art from volunteer street artists. The artists use their space on the wall to tell visual stories, with each artist covering a different topic. This project occurs every October, as well as sporadically throughout the year. Absolutely a must see if you’re visiting the area before the Halloween season!
This week I encourage you go out into the world and live your life vivaciously and try something new and daring… even if it’s wearing a killer outfit like the one I am wearing in this post!
